Croasis Research Group is a non-profit organization founded to address development gaps in ecologically sensitive and terrain-challenged regions like Meghalaya. Unlike standard models that apply "one-size-fits-all" solutions, we specialize in context-specific interventions. We design systems—whether in healthcare, education, or livelihoods—that specifically account for remoteness, difficult topography, and unique cultural realities, ensuring that no community is left behind simply because they are hard to reach.
Our primary operations are focused in the northeastern state of Meghalaya, India. We specifically target "last-mile" villages—communities often located hours away from the nearest town, accessible only by difficult roads or footpaths. These are areas where government services face the biggest delivery challenges, and where our specialized interventions can have the highest impact.
Yes, Croasis Research Group is a fully compliant, legally registered non-profit organization. We hold all necessary certifications, including 12A and 80G registrations under the Income Tax Act, ensuring that we operate with full transparency and accountability in all our financial and operational dealings.
The name "Croasis" is a fusion representing "Creation" and "Oasis." It reflects our core mission: to create an oasis of sustainable growth, health, and opportunity within challenging environments. Just as an oasis sustains life in a desert, we aim to build resilient systems that allow communities to thrive despite ecological or geographical hardships.
We utilize a "Hub and Spoke" model designed for difficult terrain. This involves deploying 4x4 Mobile Health Units equipped with doctors and medicines to reach accessible clusters. For deeper, more isolated pockets, we establish decentralized Static Clinics run by trained community health workers. Additionally, we leverage Telemedicine technology to connect patients in these remote villages directly with specialist doctors in cities, bridging the gap that distance usually creates.
Our livelihood programs focus on "Agroecology"—farming that works with nature, not against it. We train farmers in regenerative agriculture techniques that improve soil health without heavy chemicals. Beyond farming, we support value addition (processing crops into higher-value products) and establish market linkages so farmers can get fair prices. We promote crops that are climate-resilient and suited to the local ecology, ensuring long-term income stability.
Absolutely. Climate Action is one of our six key thematics. We recognize that the communities we serve are often on the frontlines of climate change. Our work includes large-scale reforestation projects, restoration of degraded catchment areas to secure water sources, and introducing low-water ecological solutions. We aim to build "climate resilience"—helping communities adapt to changing weather patterns while restoring their local environment.
We use a data-driven needs assessment to identify partner villages. We prioritize locations based on specific vulnerability indicators: distance from the nearest Primary Health Centre (PHC), lack of road connectivity, and high rates of specific health or economic challenges. However, the most critical factor is community willingness—we work where the community is eager to partner and take ownership of the change.
Your donation goes directly into program implementation. Whether it is purchasing medicines for a mobile camp, buying saplings for reforestation, or providing study materials for a remedial class, we ensure funds are utilized for tangible impact. We maintain strict financial discipline and keep administrative costs minimal to maximize the value that reaches the beneficiaries.
